Pretty easy to get around Tokyo from Asakusa. Only 2 stops away from Akihabara if you like spending time there. Really easy access to Skytree as well. Within decent walking distance from Kaminarimon, Sensōji, and the shopping in that area. Some nice mom and pop shops on the same street as the hotel, but your mileage may vary if you can’t speak Japanese at a proficient level.

If you want to spend a lot of time in Shinjuku or Shibuya, this hotel might be a little on the far side. But it’s definitely not a deal breaker if you can get a room here at a reasonable price.

Staff are amazing, they are willing to go above and beyond to assist you.

We've stay in APA hotel last year and based on our experience on our recent stay they're not taking out our trash even though we segregated it (I think it's more of a hesitation that they might throw some important stuffs) but since the rooms are small it takes up needed space.

I wish there would be more English speaking channels available in the rooms.

    Clean and wonderful staff!

It’s was hot and felt like lacking fresh air during my first day. I had to open window to have fresh air.

Everything else is okay except the aircon/ heater problem.

During my stay, early November they have the heating on and they can’t switched to aircon. it gets really hot in the room. I think that is too early to have the heater on. And according to the receptionist I just have to open the window and turn off the control in the room. ?I think they are just fixing the aircon cause I got they gave a slip notice after I checked in that there is a construction about the aircon.

Very comfortable place to stay, very accessible to train stations, bus stations, convenience stores and some tourist spots

    9PASIDHPosted on: 8-14-2025

It's APA so you know what to expect. They will satisfy your needs. The room is economical but works fine and I will always go back to use them.

You can do check in yourself post-covid but there are some available staff there to help (but really they don't offer to do anything unless the check-in doesn't work).

Good location, comfortable rooms, working lights, everything is good. Good price, helps that I love Asakusa a lot. I now have good memories for my trip to Japan and this hotel is part of it purely because of how good the price was. Me and my friend enjoyed it.

Needs more washing machines and drying machines. Just one for a hotel that has 12 floors is way TOO little, and breakfasts shouldn't be paid, I think. Please add more washing machines.

Horrible experience and no fun. Very disappointing!

When we arrived on 26 May we found out that the hotel room has a double bed ready for two of us. I booked for six nights. The room is just right for only one person. No walking room at all. I did request twin sharing beds when I booked the accommodation from Sydney. We were informed the hotel was full and can not accommodate a change in our room. It was very very disappointing for me since it was my first trip to Japan. We could not sleep well together for the two nights 26th May night and 27th May night. We were so exhausted over sleep that so not much sight seeing done for the two days. We checked out on 28th May and moved elsewhere. I am Swee, still awaiting refund from Apa Asakusa Kuramae. Can you help please?

We stayed at the APA Hotel Asakusa Kuramae and overall had a positive experience. The location was very convenient — just about a 15-minute walk to the main area of Asakusa, which made sightseeing and access to restaurants and shops easy. The hotel kindly held our luggage prior to check-in, which was a huge help. However, the check-in process itself was a bit confusing, as we had to individually check in each member of our family, which took more time than expected. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with daily restocking of coffee and tea. We also appreciated that fresh towels were provided daily and left in a clean bag outside the room, which was a nice touch.

The main downside was the air conditioning. We weren’t able to control the cooling system ourselves, and the room stayed warmer than we would’ve liked. We ended up having to keep the window open at night, but unfortunately, traffic noise from the street made it hard to sleep at times.

APA hotels are generally good hotels; the rooms are small but you have everything you need.

When we first arrived, there was construction going on so check in wasn't that great. They cleaned my room without my permission and removed my extra instant coffee so I didn't have any on my last day. I was in a smoking room which was terrible and someone needs to tell the housekeeper to either shower more of wear deodorant. We got stuck in the elevator with her going up to the top floor, and even after she left the elevator was permeated with a stink even when we exited on the ground floor. I'm sure the people getting in thought it was us

Bed too narrow n very uncomfortable for 2 persons . Room very small. Staff too busy and not attentive.

Near subway. Take E line (exit 5)n not A line (exit A1)too far from hotel.

Need to walk done a flight of stairs to lobby . Best use back entrance on side road. ( no stairs)

Great location, very central. Bigger room here in this APA hotel that I've had in another. Clean and comfortable, very good view over the river and to Skytree.

The reception area is very cramped and filled with other people's luggage so it's a bit stressful sometimes getting in and out of the lifts/doors, other than that it's perfect!
